Ticket Instructions for Ambridge vs. Aliquippa (9/18/2020)

1. Tickets will be distributed by the coaches/sponsors to the students.  

2. Students may give their tickets to whomever they choose.

3. ONLY ticket holders will be admitted at the entrance nearest the fieldhouse between 6:15-7:00 PM, the top gate will remain locked.




7. Masks and social distancing are essential when in the stadium.

8. Thank you and enjoy the game. Let’s Go Quips!

Dear Aliquippa School District Community,

It is with great sadness to announce our cheerleader sponsor, Ms. Shawnte Olden, passed away yesterday. She was a proud Aliquippa graduate who will be deeply missed by the students and staff she worked with.

Counselors will be available for all students and staff at the JSHS Monday, September 14, 2020 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

As the District expresses its deep sympathy, please remember her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Free Meals Still Available During Virtual Learning!

Register your child(ren) by scanning the QR Code on the attached flyer or complete the form here.

Aliquippa School District is offering free breakfast and lunch. Starting Tuesday, September 8, all students enrolled in the ASD may pick-up a FREE breakfast and lunch. Meal distribution will take place on Tuesday & Thursday of each week from 8 AM - 10 AM. On Tuesdays meals will be given for Tuesday & Wednesday. On Thursdays meals will be given for Thursday, Friday & Monday.

Positive Steps Wellness Center is open at Aliquippa School District. Contact Vanessa at 724-857-7500 (Ext:4164) to schedule an intake for therapy or a therapy session (If you are already an existing client). Students can come in for face to face sessions. Let’s talk about how you are feeling.

Notice of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) 2020-21

CHIP covers uninsured kids and teens up to age 19. With more than 111,000 uninsured children in Pennsylvania, this is great news for families!  CHIP provides quality, comprehensive health insurance for routine doctor visits, prescriptions, dental, eye care, eyeglasses, mental health, and much more.  CHIP covers uninsured kids who are not eligible for Medical Assistance. For most families, CHIP is free – for others, it is low cost.

Affordable Internet at Home for Eligible Households

As we approach the beginning of a new school year, we recognize the importance of being connected to the internet at home. We want to make sure you are aware that Comcast continues to make it easier for low-income families in Comcast service areas to connect to the internet through Internet Essentials. New Internet Essentials customers will receive two free months of Internet service if they enroll in the program by December 31, 2020.

Healthy Parenting Program

Established at A Child’s Place, PA Child Advocacy Center in 2017, the Healthy Parenting Program offers parents and caregivers an opportunity to participate in free, flexible, and practical parenting classes. Sessions are offered to Allegheny, Beaver, and Fayette County residents caring for children from birth to 12 years old. 
  • Aims to prevent problems in the family, school, and community before they arise while creating environments that encourage children to realize their potential.
  • Works to help raise happier children, manage misbehavior, set rules and routines to make parents and caregivers feel more confident.

Aliquippa School District and Highmark Caring Place

Aliquippa School District has partnered with Highmark Caring Place, whose core purpose is to make a difference in the lives of grieving children.  We will be working with the Caring Place to provide Grief Groups in grades K-12.  The Groups will be held during the school day with the School Counselor at your school, will meet approximately 8-10 times over the course a couple months, and will guide your child through the grief process. 

If you are interested or have questions about your child participating in this program, please contact your child’s School Counselor at 724 - 857- 7500.
