A Message from the Superintendent

The Aliquippa School District has lost a member of its family. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family and let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers. The student was well-liked by all classmates, teammates, and by all the staff. The student was a true asset to the Aliquippa community and will be deeply missed. More +

Elementary School Incident

An elementary school student brought a BB gun to school on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. The matter was immediately turned over to the Aliquippa Police Department and the District will take action based upon its policies. The top priority of the Aliquippa School District is to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all students.

Student Safety

The following statement is made to be compliant with the regulations of FERPA and HIPPA laws:

This afternoon there was an accident on a District school bus involving an elementary school student. The City of Aliquippa and Hopewell Township's Police Departments responded to the scene of the accident followed by District administrative staff and the student's parent. The student was taken to the hospital by the parent. The student was evaluated and released from the hospital. At all times, the safety and security of all students is the Aliquippa School District's top priority. The District will continue to review all of its bus policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all students.

Aliquippa School District and Highmark Caring Place

Aliquippa School District has partnered with Highmark Caring Place, whose core purpose is to make a difference in the lives of grieving children.  We will be working with the Caring Place to provide Grief Groups in grades K-12.  The Groups will be held during the school day with the School Counselor at your school, will meet approximately 8-10 times over the course a couple months, and will guide your child through the grief process. 

If you are interested or have questions about your child participating in this program, please contact your child’s School Counselor at 724 - 857- 7500.
